We had a task to optimize non-production headcount with holding's main business unit. At the beginning of the project, unit was staffed with 900 non-production employees, while comparable international benchmark plants have 3-4 time lower headcount.
Over 4 months, SBS Consulting performed organization structure analysis and evaluated headcount reduction potential using proprietary methodology named «6 levers». Main workstreams included definition of functions for each department, optimization of key business processes, timing of main tasks, and de-layering.
Approved by the management team plan to reduce headcount to 660 employees within a year. In the end of the project, headcount already was reduced to 730 employees.
