Re-design of Sibur’s organizational structure led to creation of centralized back office. Next step was to define the duties and the role of back office and estimate the potential for headcount reduction.


    SBS Consulting has prepared process maps for support of sales, transportation and warehousing contracts, preparation of customs payments, and VAT off-set. To estimate potential headcount reduction, work schedule study was carried out. Project team explored the capacity for expanding of back office’s functions and opportunities for in-sourcing, developed Performance Measurement System and requirements for IT systems.


    Headcount reduction potential in back and middle office functions was estimated at 25%, whereas administration and office expenses could be decreased by 35%. Those findings were accepted and implemented by theClient..
