Leading Russian venture capital fund
After Fund launch and development of its overall strategy, next step was to develop Performance Measurement System (goals, KPIs) and cascade it to the top- and middle-management. The main challenge for the client was the lack of similar institutions and benchmarks in Russia. The Board Committee decided to engage external consultants.
SBS Consulting and Booz&Co jointly executed the project. In the beginning the international experience of developing PMS in venture capital funds was analyzed. Following this analysis, consultants prepared two-level Goals & KPIs Tree: long run (till 2020) and short-run (building and enhancement of infrastructure). Then Fund’s KPIs were cascaded to management level with the detailed instructions on calculation methodology.
